What personal data we collect and why
We collect the following personal data from registered users:

Purpose and legal basis
This data is collected solely to generate accurate, calendar-based personality or astrological results in our free Flask-based application. Legal basis: Performance of a contract (the service you request by registering and using the app) – Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We do not collect birth time, location data beyond time zone, or any other sensitive personal information. We do not use this data for marketing, profiling beyond the app results, or any other purpose. We do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects under Article 22 GDPR.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Your data is stored on our WordPress server and shared with our separate Flask application server (hosted on Digital Ocean) solely for generating app results. No third-party sharing occurs unless required by law. Where data is transferred outside the EU, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we retain your data
We retain your birth date and time zone as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request erasure, we will delete this data promptly (except where we are legally required to retain it). Metadata (e.g., registration date) may be kept longer for security/audit purposes.
